Frequently Asked Questions
How long does sink refinishing take?
Most sinks are a half-day to full-day job depending on size and damage. The work itself takes 2–4 hours. The coating cures fully in 24–48 hours, at which point you can resume normal use. You can rinse with cool water after 48 hours.
How long does shower pan refinishing take?
Shower pans typically take 4–6 hours depending on size and condition. Cure time is 48 hours before the shower is usable. We'll set up a temporary bathroom solution if needed during the cure period.
What materials can you refinish?
We refinish cast iron, acrylic, fiberglass, porcelain, and ceramic tile. Stainless steel sinks cannot be refinished — the surface chemistry is too different. We'll tell you straight up if your piece is suitable before we start work.
How long does the finish last?
With proper care, 10–15 years on average. We provide written aftercare instructions with every job. The coating holds up well under normal use — avoid abrasive scrubbers and use mild soap and water for cleaning.
What's your warranty?
We warrant all work for 10–15 years against coating failure due to manufacturing defect. The warranty is written and provided on completion. It does not cover damage from abuse, improper cleaning, or substrate failure.
Can you change the color of my sink or shower pan?
Yes. We offer a full palette of custom colors and finishes — white, bone, black, pastels, stone-look, and our proprietary Custom Spray Marble Finish. Discuss your design ideas during your free phone estimate.
What's the difference between reglazing and refinishing?
Reglazing and refinishing are the same process — we use the terms interchangeably. Both mean applying a new factory-quality coating to restore the surface. "Resurfacing" is another common term for the same service.
Can I combine sink refinishing with other services?
Absolutely. Most customers bundle sink, shower, and fireplace refinishing with bathtub, tile, or countertop work. We offer package pricing when you combine multiple fixtures — typically 15–25% savings versus booking separately.
Can you refinish my fireplace surround?
Yes, for tile, brick, stone, and cultured marble surrounds. We cannot refinish the firebox interior (where the fire burns) — that requires high-temp specialized coatings. But we handle surrounds, hearths, and mantels beautifully.
What about anti-slip coating?
Anti-slip coating is highly recommended for shower pans and bathroom floors. It adds $50–$100 to the job but provides significant safety benefit, especially for elderly or mobility-challenged household members. Ask about it during your estimate.
Do you work on weekends?
We primarily schedule Monday–Friday, but we accommodate weekend appointments for commercial clients and urgent residential projects. Call to discuss your timeline.
What does it cost?
Kitchen sinks typically run $175–$300. Bathroom sinks are $150–$350. Shower pans are $400–$800. Fireplace surrounds are $300–$800. Multi-item jobs usually save 15–25% versus single bookings. Call (720) 295-0513 for a real quote on your specific project.
How do I care for a refinished surface?
Use mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive scrubbers, scouring pads, and harsh chemicals. Do not use acidic cleaners like vinegar or bleach on bathroom surfaces. We provide detailed written aftercare instructions with every job.
Can I have you refinish an antique or custom sink?
Possibly. Antique and custom sinks are often made of cast iron, porcelain, or ceramic — all of which we can refinish. Call with a description and we'll let you know if it's a candidate.
